Retail C-Suite Moves of the Week: Dollar Tree, SpartanNash, PGA Tour Superstore

Three retail companies are bolstering their executive leadership team. Michael Creedon, Jr. has been named Dollar Tree’s chief operating officer, while SpartanNash has tapped Nicole Zube as senior vice president, chief human resources officer.
Meanwhile, PGA Tour Superstore has promoted from within, elevating Dick Sullivan to executive chairman and CEO and Jill Spiegel to president.
Dollar Tree
As Dollar Tree’s new chief operating officer, Michael Creedon will be instrumental in accelerating growth, driving the execution of company strategy and leading transformation across the Dollar Tree, Family Dollar and Dollar Tree Canada stores. Creedon will also focus on refining operational processes to support store associates and field leaders.
Creedon previously served as executive vice president of Advance Auto Parts, U.S. Stores from 2020 to 2021 as well as division president for the company’s North Division, including Autopart International, from 2017 to 2020, and president of Autopart International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Advance, from 2013 to 2017.

SpartanNash
Nicole Zube takes up the role of SpartanNash’s senior vice president, chief human resources officer effective immediately. Zube’s appointment comes at a time of “remarkable transformation” for the executive leadership team, following on from the appointment of Tony Sarsam as CEO two years prior.
A veteran in the food solutions industry, Zube joins SpartanNash following a decade-long career at Kellogg, most recently serving as head of HR – U.S. Commercial. Zube also worked for eight years in a variety of HR roles at Procter & Gamble.
“Nicole is an accomplished people leader with invaluable experience managing a large-scale, global workforce within the food industry,” said SpartanNash CEO Tony Sarsam. “Throughout her career, Nicole has demonstrated passion and commitment to creating an outstanding associate experience, and we are thrilled to have her join SpartanNash as we continue our work to put People First.”
PGA TOUR Superstore
PGA TOUR Superstore owner and chairman Arthur M. Blank has promoted Dick Sullivan to executive chairman and CEO of PGA TOUR Superstore and Jill Spiegel to president.
Currently president and CEO of PGA TOUR Superstore, Sullivan’s work with Blank’s portfolio of businesses dates back to The Home Depot in the 1990s, during which time Sullivan witnessed immense growth and eventually rose to become CMO. More recently, Sullivan led marketing for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons following Blank’s purchase of the team in 2002.
Jill Spiegel joined PGA TOUR Superstore in 2011 as vice president of merchandising, soft goods and most recently served as senior vice president and chief merchandising officer. A 37-year veteran in the retail industry, this latest appointment makes Spiegel one of the highest-ranking female executives in the golf industry.
