Rue La La Partners With Cotton, Inc. to Promote Cotton Products

Rue La La, an online shopping site, announces the first of four programs dedicated to cotton, The Fabric of Our Lives®. The retailer joins Cotton Incorporated to support its recently launched "Cotton. It's Your Favorite for a Reason." campaign.

On Monday, May 11, Rue La La's 14 million members will be able to log onto the site and be immersed in the world of cotton. The main feature of the Rue La La and Cotton site takeover will be an "Editor's Picks" of highly curated cotton items with special boutiques across women's, men's, children's and home. A sampling of the exciting brands and products featured in the Cotton site takeover include a classic Hudson Jeans rinse denim jacket, soft Splendid t-shirts, cozy Bedhead pajama sets, plush Espalma towel sets and stylish striped Soludos espadrilles.

Rue La La will feature editorial content alongside the shopping experience which will give shoppers the ability to explore the versatility of cotton and provide style inspiration for their closet and for their home. A Cotton Incorporated consumer survey found that 69 percent of people say their favorite piece of clothing is at least 60 percent cotton and that on average, people own seven pairs of denim jeans. These cotton-rich experiences on Rue La La will allow shoppers to discover new cotton favorites, adding to their existing collections.

In April, Cotton Incorporated announced a new campaign, introducing the tagline, "Cotton. It's Your Favorite for a Reason." The first commercial launched April 20 with 30- and 15-second spots with additional commercials to roll out over the course of the year.  The campaign also includes a digital video series of consumer stories, some expanding on the stories told in the commercials and trade print advertisement.
