Shift4 Announces Unified Commerce Payment Integration
Shift4 Corporation announced its Unified Commerce Payments solution for retailers using Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations and Dynamics AX 2012. Shift4 partnered with Microsoft value-added distributor Retail Realm to develop a complete integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations.
The resulting solution provides retailers the flexibility to implement a secure, integrated payment solution across their entire enterprise – from storefronts to e-commerce, call center, fulfillment and more.
This solution supports credit, debit, gift card and private-label credit, and check verification services, providing out-of-the-box support for U.S. and Canadian EMV, point-to-point encryption, contactless and tokenization, and laying the rails that will make adoption of emerging and alternative payment methods simple in the future.
"We saw a need in the Dynamics space for a secure, omnichannel payment solution that works – reliably," said J.D. Oder II, CTO and co-founder, Shift4. "Shift4 has the unified commerce expertise, unrivaled security and proven stability, and Retail Realm helped us integrate that into the Microsoft products, resulting in the only truly omnicommerce payment extension for Dynamics users."
Shift4 enables centralized customer profiles and enterprise-wide tokenization, making buy online and return in store and similar scenarios seamless. The company protects in-store and call-center-based transactions with point-to-point encryption and tokenization, while hosted e-commerce cardholder tokenization helps keep card data out of merchants' networks. The result is drastically reduced breach profile and simplified PCI compliance.
Merchants using this solution can keep customer lines moving quickly even when Internet connectivity is lost with offline transaction processing for both swipe and EMV. They can also rely on Shift4's redundant data centers, adaptive routing and distributive computing to provide the most stable processing platform available.
