Smart & Final Advances its Merchandising and Supply Chain

Food retailer Smart & Final’s mission is to nourish communities one neighborhood at a time, by providing the quality food and everyday staples they need at an affordable price. In business for over 145 years, Smart & Final Stores is headquartered in Commerce, California, with banners in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Idaho.
 
With hundreds of stores located across seven states, Smart & Final Stores has selected JDA Software Group, Inc. to deploy an integrated end-to-end merchandising, planning and execution solution to transform its supply chain processes for the age of “my way” retailing.

Smart & Final has selected a range of JDA solutions to replace its homegrown solutions and unlock sustainability for the growth plan of the business. Smart & Final will deploy capabilities from within the JDA Merchandise Planning & Assortment, JDA Demand Management, JDA Category Management, JDA Price & Promotions Management and JDA Commerce solution areas.
 
This end-to-end deployment will enable the company to meet future demands of retail, adopt practices that improve inventory performance, and enable a customer-centric approach to responding to shopper expectations.
 
Leveraging JDA solutions for promotions, demand and fulfillment will not only give Smart & Final a more accurate view into supply and demand, it will allow them to adapt to daily changes in demand signals and immediately re-align the supply needs.
