Miami, Fla., Jan. 8, 2008 -- Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., is pleased to announce that Robert Becerra has become a member of the Firm and that Jennifer Mulveny has become a principal.
Mr. Becerra joined ST&R's Miami office in October 2004 as a senior associate attorney. As part of the Firm's litigation practice, he represents clients in complex commercial and white collar criminal litigation, grand jury investigations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration proceedings, Federal Aviation Administration enforcement actions, civil forfeitures and appeals. He is experienced in conducting internal investigations, particularly in the areas of anti-money laundering, anti-counterfeiting, customs laws and regulations and other corporate compliance requirements.
Mr. Becerra continues to receive the highest ratings from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory for legal ability and professional ethics. He was also listed in Leading American Attorneys under the categories of criminal defense and financial institutions law. He is a graduate of the University of Miami, is admitted to practice in Florida and various federal district and appeals courts nationwide, and is a member of the Dade County, American and Federal bar associations. Ms. Mulveny serves as a senior director, trade and legislative affairs, in the Firm's Washington, D.C., office. She uses the in-depth knowledge and experience gained from serving in key roles in the Bush administration and Congress to provide clients with effective guidance and strategy for advancing trade policy initiatives through the legislative and executive branches of the U.S. government. As deputy assistant U.S. trade representative for congressional affairs, she was a direct liaison between the White House and Congress and one of the lead USTR officials in securing approval of DR-CAFTA. She also worked on matters relating to Africa, South Asia, textiles, labor, trade capacity building, agriculture, small business and WTO affairs. Earlier in her career she served on the staff of the House Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee.
