Talbots Upgrades Merchandising, Inventory Systems with Mi9

9/24/2014
Talbots has selected Mi9 BI, Mi9 Merchant, and Sales Audit with Loss Prevention software products to replace its existing core merchandising and inventory management systems.

The women's apparel and accessories retailer needed technology to help streamline its merchandising process, including the re-classifying of product hierarchy and centrally managing inventory across all channels. After an extensive search, Talbots chose Mi9 Retail due to its advanced business intelligence capabilities that are built into the merchandising platform with a single data repository and easy-to-use interface, as well as its robust integration capabilities with third-party systems, including its order management systems.

"After evaluating the leading retail solution providers serving our industry, we found Mi9 Retail's technology to be a technically sound, functionally rich and intuitive solution for our needs.  The Mi9 Daybook and Stock Ledger provide the accessibility and granularity of detail that both our merchant and finance teams need to effectively plan and manage our inventory.  In addition, we believe that the technology Mi9 is delivering will help us improve our business processes and further enhance the integration of our systems," says John Kovac, Talbots CIO. "Moreover, Mi9 Retail has a demonstrated track record of high customer satisfaction and we're expecting to scale without need for an increase in business users or technical support staff."
