Target Reports Single-Digit Revenue Increases

Target reports that total revenues increased 9.3 percent to $14.835 billon in the third quarter of 2007, compared to $13.570 billion reported in 2006. The company also reports a 3.7 percent increase in comparable-store sales combined with the contribution from new stores and credit card operations. Total revenues include retail sales and net credit card revenues. Target reports that it experienced weaker sales in high margin categories, such as apparel and home, in the third quarter.
