[TC]2 Unveils NX-16 Body Scanner
[TC]2 is offering the NX-16, a new, dressing-room-size 3-D body scanner, which it says is the smallest scanning technology in the marketplace.
The scanner uses safe, white light technology, provides data acquisition in seconds, offers a private self-scanning mode of operation and is highly accurate and easy to use, the not-for-profit organization reported.
Retailers and apparel brands can use the scanner to offer made-to-measure clothing and size and style recommendation. They also can use the NX-16 to create personalize 3-D avatars for virtual dressing, and to conduct size surveys. There also are newer applications for the health, fitness and medical industries, which can use the scanner for body composition measurement, body measurement tracking over time and 3-D body shape measuring and monitoring.
