Mobile commerce is generating tons of buzz as retailers are quickly navigating ways to reap benefits from this emerging channel. Mobility solutions are also generating buzz, and Cornell-Mayo and Global Bay are early innovators in this space, with each unveiling mobile POS solutions for the iPod touch.

Cornell Mayo's Omniexpress, although pocket-sized, offers the full functionality of a POS. It operates wirelessly and has the ability to accept credit and gift cards.

Global Bay's innovative MPOS features a similar look and feel to the Apple Easy Pay POS. MPOS offers a wide variety of functions including receipt printing, bar code scanning, as well as fraud protection support.

Beyond mobile POS solutions, Primera released a new desktop label printer that prints at lightening speeds and high resolution images at 4800 dpi.

Lastly, Motorola introduced its new DS3500 series of rugged digital bar code scanners with digital imaging technology, which reads 1D and 2D bar codes.
