Three Trade Shows to be Staged Simultaneously

Three industry trade shows, offering a range of equipment, fabric, trim, sourcing services and technology, will be held May 18-20 in Miami Beach, FL.

The three events include SPESA Expo 2004, owned and produced by the Sewn Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas (SPESA); Material World, owned and produced by Urban Expositions and sponsored by the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA); and Technology Solutions, an IT-focused event jointly owned and produced by SPESA and Urban Expositions and co-hosted by the AAFA.

Show organizers say the three events will take place in the spring of every third year, bringing machinery and equipment, fabrics/findings, sourcing and information technology under one roof for industry attendees. There will be one attendee registration system for the three events.

Focusing on machinery and technology, SPESA Expo 2004 will also feature a conference program with seminars and educational events designed to support and augment attendees' use and knowledge of technology.

Material World is a fabric, trim and full-package sourcing event for the sewn products industry and will offer a roster of educational programs, networking events, product packaging and trend pavilions.

The Technology Solutions event will showcase all aspects of information technology solutions for the sewn products industry, including design/merchandising, product development, manufacturing, sourcing, ERP/business management, supply chain, logistics/distribution and retail solutions. Technology Solutions also will feature a conference and educational track targeted to IT professionals that supports all segments of the sewn products industries.

Apparel Magazine is a media sponsor of the 2004 SPESA Expo and Material World shows. "Given the significant scope and reach of these three events, we believe the apparel industry at large will be quite interested in the products and solutions to be shown, as well as the educational programs," said Apparel publisher Susan Black. "As such, we're planning to keep our subscribers informed about the events."
