Top 10 Most-Searched Online Coupon Retailers

During the first half of 2010, more than 80 million consumers searched for online coupons, a dramatic 49% increase over the 53.9 million people who did so during the same period in 2009. These online coupons generated about $192.4 million in sales from January 1-June 30, 2010, also a 49% increase over the $129 million generated in the first six months of 2009, according to coupon aggregator RetailMeNot.

The most popular retailer in terms of consumers searching for online coupons? Victoria's Secret. (Complete list of the Top 10 is below.)

RetailMeNot indicates that during this six-month period, there were 492,891 online coupons available for 66,883 retailers, and 56,077 printable coupons available for 52,000 stores. On average, consumers saved $29 per online coupon and $5 per downloadable coupon.
