Tops Markets Online Portal Streamlines Employee Benefits Communication

Tops Markets has established a secure online portal for human resources and benefits information, simplifying communications and online enrollment capabilities for its employees.

The solutions from Benefitfocus include the Benefitfocus Platform, which provides the 134-store supermarket chain with an engaging employee self-service experience that supports personalized communication. In addition, the HR InTouch application gives Tops' human resources department a means to effectively communicate plan information to employees. The retailer's HR department can also add tasks to associates' to-do lists and distribute information using a secure messaging tool that allows them to send personalized messages to different types of associates in different locations.

Tops can also integrate its current payroll system with HR InTouch. When employees select their benefits, the deductions are calculated and automatically synched with the payroll system, removing paper from the process and creating administrative efficiencies for both the HR and accounting departments.
