Toys”R”Us Canada Connects Store Associates with Online Shoppers

By Jamie Grill-Goodman - 04/18/2016
Toys”R”Us Canada is conducting a national roll out of the Salesfloor platform to all remaining stores after achieving successful results during 2015. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform allows online customers to connect with their local store for a more personalized customer experience. The technology has recently been adopted by other retailers as well, such as Saks (for more on this see the Enterprise Solutions page in our upcoming May/June issue).

Shopping for children is often an involved process and Toys"R"US customers in particular spend significant time researching product descriptions, reviews, and pricing, which is why the company is providing a direct connection to local Toys”R”Us stores and associates through Salesfloor.  A 10x lift in online conversions and improved customer service are the main reasons for the rapid adoption of Salesfloor’s suite of desktop and mobile products by Toys"R"Us. The products enable retailers to leverage in-store associates’ strength of service and sales skills across all channels.

Specific Salesfloor applications being used by Toys”R”Us include Online Storefronts, which allow local stores to build personalized versions of a retailer’s web site, creating a new place for customers to shop with curated products and personalized service. Toys “R”Us is also using Salesfloor Connect - an embedded tool on the retailer’s ecommerce site that lets customers interact with real, local in-store associates through chat, email, and a suite of other shopping tools.

The Salesfloor platform complements existing CRM and client software and is configured for rapid integration and customization based on retailer requirements.
