Transitioning From Start-Up to Successful Retail Model

By Tim Denman - 07/22/2016
Fresh retail ideas are popping up all over the retail landscape and providing shoppers with new ways to buy products. But how can entrepreneurs turn their smart and innovative concept into a full-functioning retail model?

At Engage! 2016, co-founder of Dress for the Day Anisha Bhasin Mukherjee will explain how she turned her concept for a curated fashion website and app into a successful personalized retail experience. Mukherjee's session entitled "Converting Start-Ups Into Retail Business Models" will explore the unique experience Mukherjee has crafted and how retailers both large and small can tailor the shopping experience for customers.

In addition to being the co-founder of the website and mobile app Dress for the Day, Mukherjee is the co-host of Sports Style Swipe, a digital series on si.com, reporting all things fashion in the world of professional sports. Prior to her entrepreneurial ventures, Mukherjee practiced law in the entertainment industry. She served as in-house counsel at a music publishing company, representing the kings and queens of the jazz industry (Billie Holiday, Benny Goodman, Perry Como).

Engage! will be held September 7-9 at the Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The conference will feature keynotes from retail leaders, peer-to-peer exchanges, educational workshops, networking opportunities and relationship building.
