Transplace International Achieves C-TPAT Certification
Transplace, a 3PL provider of transportation management services and logistics technology, announced that its Transplace International subsidiary has received Custom Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) certification for supply chain security.
Transplace's services include logistics management outsourcing, intelligent transportation management systems (TMS), supply chain network planning and design, and brokerage services.
C-TPAT, a voluntary program established in 2001, is the worldwide supply chain security initiative in which participating organizations cooperate with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to establish acceptable security practices through their entire supply chain operations. Eligible companies submit a detailed application and conduct a comprehensive self-assessment of their supply chain security procedures using the C-TPAT guidelines developed by the CBP and the community for each specific trade category.
