Upcoming SPESA EXPO To Include Supply Chain Of The Americas, USA Pavillions For Quick Turn Fashion
SPESA EXPO -- the equipment and technology show set to run May 18-20, 2010, in Atlanta, GA -- will include sourcing pavilions featuring the "Supply Chain of the Americas" and the "Supply Chain of the USA," both geared to providing resources needed for quick-turn fashion and sewn goods manufacturing in the respective regions.
The Supply Chain of the Americas pavilion will highlight the unique business opportunities and wide-ranging resources in the Western Hemisphere available to sewn products manufacturers, brand marketers and vertical retailers. It will comprise textiles and components, design and development services, production and logistics providers, country and industry association pavilions and more.
This new Americas pavilion is expected to attract a significantly broader audience to the triennial event, which historically has focused primarily on equipment and machinery exhibits.
"Interest in producing in close proximity to the U.S. market is growing," said SPESA managing director Dave Gardner. "We believe that, as the largest fashion and sewn products technology and educational event in the region, SPESA EXPO is the perfect venue to bring together the complete range of products, services and resources available to companies that consider the Americas as part of their supply chain strategy."
The new Supply Chain of the USA pavilion will be hosted by SEAMS, "The National Association For The Sewn Products Industry" and feature U.S.-based manufacturers and related services. SEAMS also has announced it will hold its 2010 Spring Networking Conference immediately following the expo on May 21-22.
Other organizations have announced they will co-locate their meetings at SPESA Expo as well, helping to build even more momentum around the event. It has been previously announced that Techtextil North America (a show dedicated to high performance and technical textiles) and ATME-I/MEGATEX (a textile machinery show) are co-locating with SPESA during a week that has been designated as "Textile & Sewn Products Industry Week 2010." Also coming on board is the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), which will hold its International Conference on May 18-20. Additionally, the International Apparel Federation (IAF) will hold its Spring Conference on May 15-16.

In other news, SPESA Expo and [TC]2 will organize the Cool Zone, v2.0. This special area on the show floor will be dedicated to "hot technologies transforming the industry." The zone will highlight current and future technologies that support a totally digital fashion and sewn products supply chain and lifecycle.
Another feature of the show floor will be the "IT Showcase," including exhibitors dedicated to a host of software solutions and services, ranging from design and pre-production to PLM, supply chain management, manufacturing, business intelligence, distribution and more.
SPESA Expo will serve all sectors of the fashion and soft goods industry, including apparel, leather and footwear, upholstered furniture, technical textiles, home furnishings, and transportation interiors. Also included will be a full range of educational programming that supports and expands attendees' use and knowledge of today's technologies.
