ViX Swimwear, Designer Brand, Implements BlueCherry ERP Software
Computer Generated Solutions Inc. (CGS) announced that women's designer swimwear firm ViX Swimwear, Inc. has begun implementation of the BlueCherry Infinity enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution at its San Diego, California headquarters.
In replacement of an existing business system, BlueCherry will be used to manage the company's financials, sales orders, inventory, allocation, import tracking, and other key business processes.
"In this market, the ability to move and make informed decisions is imperative," said Kelly Stacey, ViX Vice President of Operations. "Changing our ERP system was an important step toward improving overall operations. CGS brings a core competency in apparel that is well-aligned with our company vision.
"In addition to helping us improve inventory management and ensure on-time deliveries to our customers, BlueCherry will enable us to maximize our supply chain and improve overall operations," she added. "The system's robust reporting capabilities will equip senior management to better respond to this unpredictable market."
ViX expects to go-live on BlueCherry this August and begin shipping from the system in October to coincide with the premiere of its 2011 collection.BlueCherry will also provide the necessary foundation for the company's future growth into categories beyond swimwear.
