The new features include single swipe ordering and subscription delivery services.

Panera's new Crunch Time feature simplifies the ordering process, allowing users to pre-program their favorite meals to be automatically ordered at a specified date and time with a single swipe. The company says this is the first capability of its kind in the industry.

The free feature is exclusively available to MyPanera members using the Panera iOS app.

“We are thrilled to introduce Crunch Time Ordering as the ultimate one-swipe ordering option on the Panera app,” said Meenakshi Nagarajan, chief digital officer, Panera Bread. “Our guests lead busy lives and need convenience more than ever. They have always been able to rely on Panera for delicious food made with great ingredients, and now we have their backs when they need to quickly and easily have dinner handled between meetings, practices, or recitals, or other moments of crunch time in their lives.”

Over the last couple of years, Panera has rolled out a number of tech-enabled store improvements aimed at powering up personalization, including contactless palm payments and a digital-only “Panera To Go” pick-up format focused solely on mobile and online order and delivery.
