Wayfair Taps Walmart’s Fiona Tan To Lead Customer & Supplier Technology
Fiona Tan has joined Wayfair as its global head of customer and supplier technology.
Like many companies serving the home goods space during the pandemic, Wayfair is experiencing a sharp uptick in e-commerce sales.
Tan, who most recently served as senior VP of U.S. technology at Walmart, joins with deep experience in leading tech teams. At Walmart, she oversaw innovation and engineering execution for its website, mobile app, and all associate and merchant-facing technology across its e-commerce and stores business in the U.S.
Prior roles at Walmart include senior VP of customer technology and VP of engineering, with oversight of the team driving technology strategy and operational excellence across Walmart Labs. Tan has also held leadership roles at Ariba and TIBCO Software.
At No. 40 retailer Wayfair, Tan will be tasked with driving growth of the company’s engineering organization while setting the vision and strategy for the development of systems and technologies that shape customer and supplier experiences.
