7 Best Videos about the Future of Retail
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth a thousand pictures. However, there are videos and then there are videos. Searches on the Web will bring up pages of retail videos on topics of potential interest to CIOs, but the really good ones that inspire strategic visions are few and far between. After extensive searching, here are seven worth watching.
The Internet is flooded with retail videos on such topics as innovation, technology and the store of the future, but most are talking-head videos shot at industry conferences. I am even in a few of these and have learned a lot about what not to do in the future.
As a result, my sights were set higher for the videos selected here. I wanted them to be recently posted and most (but not all) were uploaded within a few weeks. I wanted them to use the video medium to its fullest with locations, soundtracks, smart editing, creative camera shots and clear sound. And, of course, I wanted the ideas expressed to truly represent thought leadership and advanced retail concepts that matter to CIOs heading into 2013.
So, in no particular order here are my picks for the best seven videos about the future of retail currently on the Web. If you have any ideas to add to the list, please let me know.
