Academy Sports + Outdoors Names New CMO

Academy Sports + Outdoors, a premier sports, outdoor and lifestyle retailer, named has Thomas "Tom" Lamb its new executive vice president, chief marketing officer.  

Lamb joins Academy after 17 years with Lowe's Companies, where he most recently served as CMS. At Lowe's he led the marketing, advertising, brand management, private brand development, customer relationship management, and digital communication activities for the $59 billion retailer. During his time there he also held roles including VP, marketing as well as director, consumer marketing. Prior to Lowe's, he served in various leadership roles at ING Financial, Thomson Reuters and BBDO.

Lamb has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, advertising and strategy.
