Best Buy and JD Sports Bolster Rapid Delivery Services Ahead of Holiday Season Surge

Two of the country's largest retailers – Best Buy and JD Sports – are enhancing their fulfillment capabilities through strategic partnerships with delivery service providers. 

Best Buy has entered into a new partnership with DoorDash to offer on-demand delivery of a range of consumer electronics from all Best Buy locations in under an hour, on average. Meanwhile, JD Sports and Instacart have partnered up to enable same-day delivery from over 500 JD Sports and Finish Line stores across the United States.

Best Buy’s Quest To Offer Convenience 

Best Buy is the first national consumer electronics retailer available on the DoorDash marketplace, expanding DoorDash beyond its initial focus on restaurant deliveries. Using the DoorDash marketplace app or website, Best Buy customers can now browse and order a number of electronics, including TVs, computers, gaming controllers, headphones, and chargers. The delivery platform promises delivery to the shopper’s doorstep in under an hour, on average. 

JD Sports’s Timely Team Up 

The collaboration involves tapping into Instacart's technologies to provide JD Sports customers with access to same-day delivery for more than 16,000 products, including popular athletic footwear and apparel brands like Nike, Jordan, adidas, and Puma. The partnership is part of JD Sports aim to enhance its omnichannel strategy and provide customers with a more seamless and convenient shopping experience. 

Customers can place orders via a dedicated Instacart webpage for JD Sports or Finish Line, or use the Instacart app to select products, choose preferences, and have an Instacart shopper pick and deliver the order within the chosen delivery time frame.
