Every retail vertical feels the impact of disruption today, but none more so than selling books. As one of the first industries to feel the crunch of the Amazon effect, book sellers have been forced to adopt an innovate or die strategy to keep afloat.
 
At the Retail Technology Conference Kathy Doyle Thomas, EVO and Chief Strategy Officer at Half Off Books, will examine how through fun and sophisticated marketing campaigns that go viral the book seller is able to reach millions of shoppers. Thomas, whose responsibilities include developing national marketing efforts for the wholesale and retail divisions of the company, will highlight the key characteristics of a marketing campaign that has the possibility to go viral at the "Customer Engagement: Marketing in the Age of Disruption" session.
