DuPont Artistri to Show Digitally Printed Fabrics
WILMINGTON, Del., Aug. 24, 2007 -- DuPont Imaging Technologies announced today that they will highlight customer output from the DuPont Artistri digital printing for textiles technology at the upcoming ITMA Show to be held in
"This will be the first time we will show such a comprehensive collection of customer work printed from the Artistri system," stated Gary Turner, business development manager, DuPont Artistri. "We introduced the Artistri 2020 printer at the ITMA show four years ago and for this show we wanted to create a gallery of commercially produced, digitally printed articles to provide visitors a view of the incredible range of work being printed today. There will be a full range of examples from each of the Artistri ink product lines and printers including; apparel, swimwear, signage, accessories, furniture, window treatments, bedding and some really unique applications."
In addition to the gallery, the Artistri 3320 grand format digital textile printer will be run live during the show. "The Artistri 3320 system is our response to requests from customers and the industry for a grand format, production capable digital textile system that can print on a broad range of textiles. This system is targeted at applications such as bedding, apparel, tension fabric and trade show displays, art reproduction, flags, banners and other graphic intensive applications where high-quality color and speed are needed," added Turner. "The Artistri 3320 is an example where DuPont has shown its leadership in the digital textile market by listening to our customers and delivering a superior 3.2 meter-wide grand format textile printing solution."
Another exciting part of the stand will be the world's largest digitally printed textile back light display printed with the Artistri 3320. This display was created in partnership with PrimeX Displays who provided the framing and lighting, Berger Textiles, who provided the Berger Lighttex fabric for this display and Graham Flint of the Gigapxl Project who provided the image for the display. Turner concludes, "Our goal at the ITMA Show is to provide a view into the realities and possibilities of a digital production workflow for textiles and do it in a way that demonstrates what our customers are doing with their systems today and the commercial applications they are developing for their businesses."
