Fashion Retailer C&A Upgrading WMS
Fashion retailer C&A is taking steps to streamline its warehouse management.
The company, which operates across 2,000 stores in 21 countries, has tapped Manhattan Associates’ Active Warehouse Management technology for use across its five Brazilian distribution centers by 2022. The rollout of the cloud-native WMS will begin at C&A’s e-commerce fulfillment center in São Paulo and is expected to help the retailer manage its rapidly growing online business.
C&A’s Brazilian operations are currently serving millions of customers a week across more than 300 stores, and it recorded 300% growth in its e-commerce business in 2020. As a result, the company sought a solution that would keep up with this demand shift, streamline its distribution processes, and maintain high customer expectations across all selling channels.
Alan Yarschel, director of supply chain at C&A, said the company expects the technology to provide shoppers with great experiences, improved inventory availability and speedier shipping.
