First Data, Microsoft and HP Offer Solution to One-Store Retailers

First Data, Microsoft and HP introduce the First Data POS Value Exchange solution. The solution leverages the three companies' core competencies: First Data's payment processing; Microsoft Dynamics, Point of Sale 2.0 software designed to manage inventory, track sales and improve customer management; and HP's rugged, retail-specific POS hardware. Florida-based Bargain Books is currently running a pilot of system.
