Macy’s Names SVP, Enterprise Data & Analytics
Xingchu Liu, the former president of BlackLocus, an innovative subsidiary within The Home Depot, has joined the Macy’s team.
Liu has been appointed Macy’s, Inc.’s senior vice president, enterprise data & analytics, responsible for building and leading the company’s enterprise data & analytics team. The team will focus on analytics governance, data management and activation. It will set the standard across the enterprise, partnering closely with business units to support analytics execution and drive efficiency and improved decision making throughout the business.
Liu joined Macy’s on February 15 and will report to chief digital officer Matt Baer.

Liu was most recently the president of BlackLocus, an innovative subsidiary within The Home Depot, where he led corporate-level strategies for data, analytics, and artificial intelligence. Prior to The Home Depot, he was responsible for data-driven planning, development, and strategies at TrueCar, Inc. and Zilliant, Inc.
Liu holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Texas A&M University.
