Must Attend Events at NRF 2013

This January, NRF will take over the Big Apple once again for its annual Big Show. Between the hectic schedule and the city that never sleeps, it can be hard to decide where to head next. Here's a rundown on some of the must attend events scheduled to take place at retail's biggest event.
 
The National Retail Federation will host Retail's Big Show from January 13 – 16, 2013 at the Jacob K. Javitz Convention Center in New York City. Some events that cannot be missed include:
 
RetailROI Super Saturday: The Retail Orphan Initiative (ROI) SuperSaturday Analyst Day will take place on Saturday, January 12, prior to the Big Show. SuperSaturday will take place in the PwC Auditorium on 42nd St. from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and feature retail experts speaking about up-to-the-minute trends. Speakers include: Deborah Weinswig of Citi Investment Research, Richard Hastings of Global Hunter Securities, Jeff Roster of Gartner, Paula Rosenblum of RSR Research, Vicki Cantrell of NRF, Mike Relich of Guess?, Maura Hart of The Home Depot, and Tom Litchford of NRF.
 
Walgreens' Omnichannel Strategy: Miguel Almeida, Walgreens' vice president of eCommerce, will share strategies for omnichannel success at the NRF Big Show session, "Tearing Down the Walls: Winning in a 'Wall-Less' Retail World," Sunday, January 13 from 2-3 p.m. in the Javits Center Special Events Hall. Almeida will be joined by two presenters from Kantar Retail: Bryan Gildenberg, chief knowledge officer, and vice president for retail insights Anne Zybowski.
 
Store Tours: NRF puts a different twist on its Store Tours this year, making them self-guided with an MP3 player. Find out more the Apple Store, Ralph Lauren, Whole Foods and more, their neighborhoods and the "Brooklyn Walkabout."
 
Rock & Roll Retail: As they often say in retail, “Go big or go home.” Retailers, industry analysts, and solution providers join on-stage to entertain the ‘who’s who’ of the retail industry. Network, unwind, and listen to the best music in NYC with your peers at Rock & Roll Retail 2013 on Monday, January 14, 2013 at B.B. Kings Blues Club in Times Square from 8:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.
 
NRF Update and Retail's Big Picture Keynote: Kofi Annan, former Secretary-General of the United Nations and a Nobel Peace Prize winner, will draw on his experience strengthening international cooperation and global welfare in his keynote address, "Building Strong Nations: The Three Pillars of a Prosperous Society." Macy's chairman Terry Lundgren will moderate the session on Monday, January 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Javits Center's North Hall.
 
The Great Convergence:  Thomas Belk, Jr. of Belk Inc. will join Susan Jurevics of Sony Corporation and Alison Paul of Deloitte on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in Room North Hall of the Javitz Center for a keynote on the current and projected influence of digital channels on the customer's purchase behavior as well as the importance of an omnichannel strategy in today's ever-evolving marketplace.
