Retail Leaders Recognized for Top Performance

In the hustle and bustle of retailing those most deserving of recognition often go unacknowledged, a phenomena the NRF looks to rectify on retail's biggest stage with its annual Retail Leaders Awards Program.
 
The yearly honoring of those that have made the biggest impact on the industry over the past year will take place at the NRF Big Show on Monday, January 12, in the North Hall, 2:45-3:30.   
 
The keynote session will feature Miki Berardelli, president of digital, CMO and EVP, Chico's FAS Inc.; Claudio Del Vecchio, chairman and CEO, Brooks Brothers Group, Inc.; David Gilboa, co-founder and co-CEO, Warby Parker; Neil Blumenthal, co-founder and co-CEO, Warby Parker; Frank Blake, chairman, The Home Depot; Philippe HouzÉ, chairman of the management board, Galeries Lafayette; Gunther T. Bright, EVP, merchant services - U.S., American Express Company.

Not all of the award recipients have been released at this time, but a number of the top awards have been announced, including:
  • Gold Medal Award: Frank Blake, chairman, The Home Depot
  • Innovator of the Year: Neil Blumenthal, co-founder and co-CEO, Warby Parker; and David Gilboa, co-Founder and co-CEO, Warby Parker
  • International Retailer of the Year: Philippe Houze, chairman of the management board, Galeries Lafayette
  • Silver Plaque Award: Miki Racine Berardelli, president, digital commerce and CMO, Chico’s FAS, Inc.
The celebration will conclude with a short presentation from the Gold Medal winner, Frank Blake.
