Zumiez Bolsters its Omnichannel Possibilities
Zumiez Inc., a specialty retailer of apparel, footwear, accessories and hardgoods, needed a customer-focused platform to meet its goal of selling to customers anytime, anywhere, via any mix of channels the customer chooses. To meet this need Zumiez has collaborated with Starmount to launch the Starmount Customer Engagement Suite and point of sale (POS) solution. By implementing the Starmount Suite, Zumiez expects to tailor its IT environment to successfully align with its customers’ preferences and needs.
The Starmount Customer Engagement Suite is a fully integrated enterprise solution designed to provide retailers and their customers with a POS experience that includes full omnichannel capabilities. The Suite provides a series of solutions that support compelling shopping experiences, more efficient store operations, and seamless access to data, inventory and capabilities throughout the retail enterprise.
“While our primary objective in this project is to deliver a seamless omnichannel customer experience, we also wanted to significantly improve operational performance,” said Troy Brown, Executive Vice President of eCommerce and Omnichannel at Zumiez. “Starmount’s solutions support both of these goals in a way that helps us stay true to our brand and culture.”
After a successful 2015 multi-store pilot, Zumiez will be working closely with Starmount in 2016 on a chain-wide roll out of the Starmount Customer Engagement Suite platform throughout its network of stores in the U.S. and Canada. The new platform will support flexible paths to purchase for Zumiez shoppers — which include reserve/buy online and pick up in store same day; ship from any store to any location; and order online from the store — leveraging the stores as an essential component of the omnichannel experience.
Mobile engagement tools and integrated loyalty programs will enable associates to provide a richer in-store experience with access to comprehensive product information, enterprise-wide inventory visibility, and the ability to process transactions anywhere on the store floor.
